Matthew 2:11
" And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary His mother, and fell down, and worshiped Him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him gifts; gold, and frankincense, myrrh."
Thank God for His mercies that endure from January 1st to December 31st 2016. The mercy would flow and follow us to the New Year 2017, in Jesus Name. Amen. The Bible passage above tells us that the wise men fell down to worship Jesus. That was a true type of worship. They did not only worship: they did with their treasures.
They worshiped Him and opened their treasures to give Jesus gifts uncommon for babies. Jesus is a special baby. The wise men were very wise. They did not give Jesus toy gifts or sub standard gifts. They prepared good gifts that matched their mission.
We all have a mission here on earth. Let us release our gifts to the Glory of God. The wise men did not give toys as gifts. They gave worthwhile gifts. Gold, frankincense and myrrh. These are tangible and expensive gifts for kings, priests and anointing. They knew the glory in the birth of Jesus. As we enter the new year 2017, open your treasures to God, not by money only, but your time and talent. The wise men not only took their time to become part of Jesus, they took their money to buy precious gifts for the precious King. Give HIM the treasure of your heart, not remnants.
