Jonah 2:9-10
"But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving ; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.- And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land"
In Jonah 2:10, it could be noticed that ; after the expression of thanksgiving and vow by Jonah, then God spoke and intervened. Jonah had all his confidence in God that He would not perish inside the fish belly. He (Jonah) knew that no matter the circumstances, he still remained in the loop of God’s covenant and eyes. However, God is watching for our obedience!!!!!
Jonah transgressed within the Covenant of God, but was not out of His Covenant. He remained steadfast, because he trusted God would deliver him out of the belly of “hell”. He was still inside the fish belly when he (Jonah) gave deep and quality thanks and God yielded.
Brethren, God yielded to thanksgiving and vows of Hannah before the birth of Samuel one of the greatest Prophets in Israel. Thanksgiving is one of the great virtues of believers, and indeed it is the mother of all virtues of children of God. Please note that thanksgiving is not only good manners, it is also good spirituality. Develop attitude of thanksgiving for every day living and it can make God to speak for you in any situation and your voice of thanksgiving will be the loudest, in Jesus Name, AMEN.
