“WHAT NOISE TO HEAR” – Part I

2 Kings 7:6

"For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said to one another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us"

Noise is a kind of sound, and the sound may be a source of blessing or a source of discomfort or a sound of warning. Whenever there is a sound from an alert center, everybody will likely pay attention. The sound of an alarm going off  informs people to take cover, to remain or to move from an unsafe to a safe place.

However, a sound is not effective until people respond to it. People could hear some sound and run. People could hear a sound and dance. People that hear a sound and do nothing about it may be at risk or at loss.

When ever our God causes a sound to go off from heaven, there is need for us to be alert. In the above passage, the Bible says “For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear sound of a noise…”. It was at the sound of God’s word that created the heaven and earth in the beginning. It will be the sound of trumpets that usher in the great day of the Lord. Be prepared and alert for there shall be a sound from heaven — a sound of favor, a sound of healing, a sound of blessing and a sound of life to be used for those that will pay attention. – BE PREPARED BELOVED.

Prayer points for the day

• 1) Father, I thank you for the inspiration of thanksgiving in my life regardless what I am passing through, in Jesus Name.
• 2) Almighty God, I thank you for the gift of another day of life, in Jesus Name.
• 3) Father, I thank you for the sound of life, in Jesus Name.
• 4) Lord, make a sound that will rush my blessings and healing to me and my household in Jesus Name.
• 5) Almighty God, let there be a sound that will give be uncommon victory, in Jesus Name.
• 6) Lord, like the sound that delivered the Israelites from the enemies, make a sound to deliver me and my household in Jesus Name. Amen.
• 7) Lord, let all my pains and troubles end with this year 2013, in Jesus Name. Amen.
• 8) Lord, let there be a sound of showers of blessing upon my life, in Jesus Name.
