Colossians 2:7
"Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving."
Praise God. Today, as we celebrate 2017 thanksgiving, it is a time for us to reflect on past years and give thanks to the Almighty God not only by consuming all the turkeys and goodies on our dinning tables but to remember the less privileged in our surrounding and all over the world; who have no opportunity to take some time to sit down to surplus foods.
For some of us, it is a time to renew our stand with Jesus Christ and our Father in heaven in all things. It is time to set aside all malice and misunderstandings and give gratitude to God for watching over us and the journey so far, especially this year of the Lord 2017.
We cannot be built in Jesus Christ except we are first rooted in him and in the gospel. A good Christian educational foundation from home is the basis to bring about full blown establishment of our faith. Once we are established in faith as been taught and them grow in it with thanksgiving; the way to know more of Jesus will be easy. Let us take a decision today. Age should not be a barrier. Old or young. Take time out for Jesus and by all means pursue to be rooted in him. Let us practice and walk in the principles we are learning and have already learnt of Jesus. It requires some efforts to achieve, but with God on your side, you can pass the standard. Amen and Amen!!!!!!!
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the day of thanksgiving in which you have made for us, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you for your divine protection all over our world this day, in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, thank you for giving us the grace to be alive to witness yet another day and seasons of celebration, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, thank you for using this season to forgive me all my iniquities, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, use this season of thanksgiving to favor me and my family, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord of my thanksgiving, let me be eternally grateful for your blessings in my life, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, I thank you because every enterprise of terror shall not come to pass against me and my household for ever, in Jesus Name. Amen.
