Habakkuk 3:17-18
17) “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18) Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, will joy in the God of my salvation.”
Listed in verse 17 of Habakkuk 3 are the original plans of God, for the benefits of mankind. The fig tree was to blossom. The fruits were made to bring wine. The labor of the olive oil was to be profitable and the fields to yield meat and the flock was made to flourish. Stalls all over to bear and carry herds. Unfortunately, things turn otherwise, but God is still God, who never turns otherwise. Amen.
Most of the things mentioned on verse 17 were gone but that was not the final plan of God. Our God is not gone. Hence, there is still hope to count many blessings to rejoice for life of salvation. What we take for granted some people are still praying for and what seems not to be all that great in our eyes some other see as very great. Count your many blessings.
From now on, let us be conscious to count our many blessings, because God have His plans for us. Let us keep counting on God and name our blessings. This will keep us having and enjoying more blessings, because counting on our problems inspire sickness to souls. Do not cause unnecessary illness to your soul.
